M-4206 Datamax
is poised to revolutionize the thermal printing industry again with the introduction
of the M-4206 printer. The M-4206 is the first in a series of printers in
the new Datamax M-Class product line. The M-Class offers users a durable,
technologically advanced thermal printer with the design principles that
have proven successful in other Datamax printers, in a smaller footprint
for use in emerging market applications. The M-4206 is a feature-rich
printer built with a modular design and die-cast construction, creating a
desktop/light industrial performance printer at a value price. As
thermal printing expands to use within more industry applications, Datamax
is maintaining a leadership position in printer design with the M-4206.
The M-4206 is built on a uni-frame, die-cast aluminum chassis to increase
the printer's durability throughout a lifetime of high performance output.
The truly modular design of the M-4206, unique to Datamax printers, allows
for options to be installed and removed in the field. The versatility
offered by Datamax printers is unparalleled in the thermal printing
industry. Datamax builds products that provide value and cost savings to
our customers, and the M-4206 continues this legacy. While
the design and construction of a thermal printer is key to its durability,
the ability to interface the printer to an existing or new system is key
to a seamless integration into any application. Standard connectivity
interfaces for the M-4206 include an RS-232 serial port, an IEEE 1284
compliant, bi-directional parallel port, and a USB port. Ethernet users
have the option of installing an external Ethernet connection to the
printer's parallel port. Datamax also offers DMXConfig, a desktop
configuration tool that allows users to set the printer's configuration
and send it to the printer without entering the printer's menu. Printer
settings can be saved and sent to multiple printers if the application
requires. Users on Windows 98 and above systems can also query the printer
with DMXConfig to extrapolate the printer's current configuration via the
bi-directional parallel port. The
M-4206 was designed to address emerging markets for thermal printers,
including healthcare, light industrial, retail and shipping applications.
The printer's advanced menu system and durable plastic cover are the
finishing touches in creating the most value-oriented printer for this
market. The M-4206 is the most feature-rich printer available to address
